Eleanor Hagan PT, MPT, GCS, CEEAA

Eleanor Hagan has a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, graduating from Stockton College in May of 2000. She also has an extensive background in geriatric orthopedics and has worked in a variety of clinical settings encompassing women’s health, sub-acute and nursing homes, outpatient sports and post-surgical orthopedics, homecare and hospice.

An advocate of continuing education, Eleanor recently successfully completed the American Physical Therapy Association’s Board Certified Clinical Specialist Exam in Geriatrics. She also studied at the Barcelona Scoliosis Physiotherapy School and became certified in 3-Dimensional Treatment of Scoliosis (Schroth Method). She is also a Certified Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Recently she studied under Dr. Becky Farley, Physical Therapist, to become a Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR) Exercise 4 Brain Change Clinician, enabling her to bring evidence-based exercises to patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.           

Her vision is for her company to be an all-inclusive center that addresses the wellness needs of people. It accomplishes this by maintaining a high standard of care that is reflected by evidence based research and applied clinical practice.

Laura Germanio OTR, RYT

Laura graduated with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Richard Stockton College in 2009.  Her experience includes time working in home care, assisted living, adult medical daycare, sub-acute, long term care and out-patient. Laura has been teaching Yoga for over 9 years, including gentle yoga, yin, restorative, partner yoga, kundalini and yoga therapy.  Her specialty is working with beginners or students with injuries and special conditions.  Laura's advanced training includes a certification in mat Pilates, Thai Yoga Bodywork and the Graston Technique, soft tissue mobilization. She is currently working toward a specialization in treatment of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, as well as becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist.  Laura teaches the Monday morning yoga class and is available for Thai Yoga Bodywork by appointment.

Dr. Alyse Kovacsik, PT, DPT

Alyse joined Body in Balance as a physical therapist in January 2015. Alyse graduated from Arcadia University in 2011 with a doctorate in physical therapy. She has experience with a wide variety of diagnoses, with a focus in orthopedics and sports medicine. She is certified in the newest soft tissue technique by David Graston, also known as SASTM (sound assisted soft tissue mobilization) and hopes to become a board certified orthopedic specialist in the future. 

Sherri Carman

Sherri manages the front therapy office at Body In Balance. She enjoys being one of the first people to greet you with a smile and welcome you to our facility.  Prior to finding her new home at Body In Balance, she managed a Chiropractic Center for 13 years and was also a medical assistant to cardiology for 3 of those years.  When Sherri is not at the office she is taking care of her two beautiful children and the family's furry friends.  She looks forward to meeting you!

Kathy Tierney

Kathy is the Office Manager/Medical Biller. She has over 20 years of experience in the Rehabilitation field.  Her experience includes working as a liaison for over 40 offices and managing between corporate offices and field offices. Some of her expertise includes: hiring, firing, and training administrative staff members and consulting.

Patrick Mullin

Patrick received his personal training certification from the American Aerobic Association International.  Fitness to him is like brushing your teeth. You need to do it everyday for a healthy body and mind.  He is a graduate of York College of PA with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management.  He is now in his third season as the head JV coach at Holy Spirit High School in Absecon.  He specializes in baseball specific training, strength training, and fat loss training.  He has a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals; especially when those goals are life-changing.

Marlie Doriston

Marlie joined Body in Balance in August 2014 as a physical therapy aide and personal trainer. Marlie graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Kinesiology. She has been a personal trainer for two years and got her certification through AAAI. She leads the balance training program at Body In Balance.  Marlie is also a track and field coach at Mainland High School and enjoys exercising and playing rugby. She hopes to one day be a physical therapist and is excited to help you achieve wellness.

Sally Hughes

Sally helps keep the Fitness Center running smoothly.  She helps clients in the fitness center and does personal training as well.  She runs the Tone and Tighten class 3 days per week. She joined Body in Balance in May 2012 and loves every minute of it.

Louise Celestino

Louise joined Body In Balance in 2012. She has been a licensed Zumba instructor since 2011 and teaches Zumba and Rhythm Fit dance classes in the Atlantic County area. Recently, she attended the Dance for PD workshop in Brooklyn, New York and currently teaches Chair Zumba on Wednesday mornings and dance for PD on Saturday afternoons at Body In Balance.

Louise loves music and theater and still continues to take dance classes whenever she can.
